Career Goals

Because I grew up in the military, I spent a lot of my education in Department of Defense Dependent Schools (of DoDDS). The community, support, and education they provided were instrumental in my development. I want to give back to this program; my biggest career goal is to be a DoDEA teacher and community member.

Biggest Strength

I am steadfast but coachable. I have beliefs that I will stand by with integrity, and those who know me know my standards; we two are inseparable. However, my commitment does not prevent me from adjusting my own actions, practices, or habits when I notice a better way. I am very open to advice and am always searching for a more efficient or accurate way.

Proudest Achievement

I am so proud that I already have published work. through my experience with Income School. To get more information and see more of my work, visit the Publication page of this website.

Biggest Weakness

I tend to focus on the "big picture" rather than independent details. This can lead to me occasionally missing small things like numbers or conventions. To combat this tendency, I have been slowing down as I work, giving myself time limits and periodic "double check" points to ensure I don't miss any of the small, but important, details.

Commitment to Excellence

As a teacher, I am committed to excellence in professionalism, pedagogy, procedure, and student-teacher relationships. I have made a pledge to excellence that further explores my journey into education and the reasons I hold myself to this high standard. The life and education of every student comes first.
