"You can't go wrong with good materials"
-William Shakespeare
When I start my class with the belief that my students are good and that my material is true, I will be able to teach to my greatest potential and make an impact in my students' lives. I believe that the role of the teacher is to deliver the knowledge to the students, and it is the students' responsibility to then absorb that knowledge. Working together, the teacher and the student can find real-world applications for new information and navigate barriers such as a lack of understanding or experience.

“Let the main object... to seek and to find a method of instruction, by which teachers may teach less, but learners learn more.”
-John Amos Comenius
“The aim… of the public schools… should be the health and physical development, as well as the good manners, sound morals, and correct habits generally of all the pupils."
-Henry Barnard
